Erima Adventist Youth Close Up for 2009

Formal YPA (Youth, Pathfinder and Adventurers) 2009 yearly program closing was conducted this afternoon at 2:00pm at Erima Seventh-Day Adventist Church

In the closing remarks, the out going Youth Leader, Mr. Edwin Usoni had urged all parents to support their children in terms of Parental guidance and instruction. Mr. Edwin Usoni has said " My tears fall as I saw 43 Pathfinders and Youths were invested down in Aroma District of the Central Province". Erima Youths, Pathfinders and Adventures has the largest number that went to Aroma for Investiture (a time for receiving awards in form of Pins conducted every year around November) program.

Though Erima SDA Church has limited resources in Leadership skills, it is an eye opener for the Central Papuan Conference (CPC) Youth Director, Pr. Rex Koi to see large number of participants for the Investiture program who came from Erima Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He challenged other National Capital District (NCD) YPA Clubs to do the same. CPC Youth Director, Pastor Rex Koi challenged all YPA Leaders that next as the local mission wish to see that all Youth and Pathfinders must be baptized to take part in any other spiritual programs.

One week out in Aroma District of the Central Province by the YPA Club of NCD has truly been a blessing as a dew to dying plant. Aroma is known for first Seventh-Day Adventist Pioneer Missionaries who came from that area. However, long since, especially YPA activity has been down for some time until the YPAs from NCD helped at the time of the camp-out on Investiture program this year 2009.

Applauds were made during the closing ceremony at Erima SDA church to indicate that all church families are willing to support any new YPA leaders for year 2010.
